Meet Luz! Our August Provider of the Month
Luz obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut followed by a Master’s degree in Social Work from Sacred Heart University. Luz has experience working with very diverse populations ranging from the school system, residential facilities and non-profit agencies. Luz utilizes a client-centered, holistic and strengths perspective when working with her clients. Luz believes that a collaborative and welcoming approach is integral to her approach towards her practice of treatment.

Q: What do you like about being a therapist?
LS: I like connecting and building rapport with my clients. I feel it is so important to have that relationship with clients and I think it can have a wonderful impact on the work we do with clients!
Q: What is your go-to self-care?
LS: Watching my favorite shows on Hulu! At this time, it is This Is Us and to wind down, I watch MasterChef.
Q: What are some things you look forward to at the end of the Summer?
LS: I am looking forward to the Fall season. I love Fall weather – I am ready to wear my moccasins and cute sweaters!
Q:What do you like about working at Revive?
LS:I enjoy the flexibility around my schedule and the Revive get-togethers! I really enjoy being able to connect with the other therapists outside of work.
Q:What are your top 3 favorite movies?
LS:The Mummy (1999), Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Q:What’s your favorite way to connect with the people in your life?
LS: Simply by spending time with them. We could be watching a movie, eating, talking or quietly existing but as long as I am spending the time with them is what matters most to me!
